Fiction day; short shrift on Comey and other matters. If they are able to educate their congregations from an early age about the true peaceful nature of Islam. Talk:Muslim history. I agree with you about the difference between Dar al-Islam and Islam. I think the article as it stands gives short shrift to the first.

Tips for preparing a search: • Keep it simple - don't use too many different parameters. • Separate search groups with parentheses and Booleans. Note the Boolean sign must be in upper-case.

Blank kvitanc na oplatu gazu en. • Example: (diode OR solid-state) AND laser [search contains 'diode' or 'solid-state' and laser] • Example: (photons AND downconversion) - pump [search contains both 'photons' and 'downconversion' but not 'pump'] • Improve efficiency in your search by using wildcards. • Asterisk ( * ) -- Example: 'elect*' retrieves documents containing 'electron,' 'electronic,' and 'electricity' • Question mark (?) -- Example: 'gr?y' retrieves documents containing 'grey' or 'gray' • Use quotation marks ' ' around specific phrases where you want the entire phrase only.

• For best results, use the separate Authors field to search for author names. • Author name searching: • Use these formats for best results: Smith or J Smith • Use a comma to separate multiple people: J Smith, RL Jones, Macarthur • Note: Author names will be searched in the keywords field, also, but that may find papers where the person is mentioned, rather than papers they authored. Abstract When surface plasmons are excited at a metal-dielectric interface, the electromagnetic field takes a very large value near the interface. If the dielectric is a nonlinear Kerr medium, then the effect of nonlinearity can be greatly amplified due to the field enhancement. In this paper, we calculate the lateral shift of p wave beams incident on metal-dielectric multilayer systems in the Otto configuration in a numerically exact manner, using the invariant imbedding method of wave propagation in nonlinear stratified media. In the linear case, we find that the lateral shift becomes very large at the incident angles where the surface plasmons are excited.

As the nonlinearity is turned on, the value of the lateral shift changes rapidly. We find that even a small change of the intensity of the incident wave can cause a huge change of the lateral shift. We propose that this phenomenon can be applied to designing precise optical switches operating at small powers. ©2008 Optical Society of America OSA Recommended Articles.
